New Paint Specifications - Internal and External
We have just updated our Integrity New Homes paint specification.
This paint specification is a major overhaul of the previous specification to bring it more into line with current products and practices. We originally set out to update the external products to Dulux Weathershield exterior only but took the opportunity to engage with Dulux and review the suitability/practicality of all the products.
Notable changes:
- Dulux Professional Fast Finish is now specified as the undercoat and finishing coat for internal ceilings. Dulux Professional Fast Finish is a spray only undercoat and flat ceiling product in one. The product is supported by a dedicated DuSpec guide (AU_SD11303) and was strongly recommended by Dulux for efficiency and outcome. No longer will the painter have to use an undercoat and then a separate ceiling flat atop.
- Dulux Professional Fast Finish is now specified as the standard undercoat for internal walls. The major benefit of Dulux Professional Fast Finish is that you can spray the ceilings for the undercoat, continue down the walls for the undercoat and then by the time the walls are finished the ceiling is dry enough that you can do a second finishing coat on the ceiling with the same product. Aka spray the undercoat ceiling, then continue down and undercoat walls and then finish the ceiling all with the same product!
- Dulux Precision Max Strength Adhesion Primer is now specified as the standard primer for internal pre-primed timber doors. The product is supported by a dedicated DuSpec guide (AU_SD11520).
- Dulux Weathershield Exterior is now specified as the standard finished product for fibre cement cladding, eave sheets, external ceilings (i.e. Porch/Alfresco), PVC downpipes, and timber trims (pre-primed and un-primed).
These details our included in our Integrity Edge Quality Assurance Program and increase the performanc outcomes for all our new homes and renovations.
